Comic Relief has implemented a new HR system by ASR Computers in a bid to cut administrative costs and manage staff time more effectively.
The HR Pro System with an integrated .NET Workflow module has allowed paperless flow of HR information, swift access to data and accurate diagnosis of personnel issues
Speaking just before the system went live, Rebecca Hewett, HR officer for Comic Relief, said: "The advanced functionality of our new HR system will provide us with greater knowledge and understanding of staff and both improve efficiency and free up staff time.
"It will also cut costs, especially with automated processes saving us from having to recruit additional administration support as the organisation grows."
The new system allows for reports at the touch of a button, electronic authorisations which have replaced paper-based approvals, and necessary information routed straight to the relevant member of staff.
In time, the new system will further increase efficiency by allowing staff to ‘self-serve’ by accessing their own HR information on desktops. Comic Relief also intends to configure the system to enable e-recruitment for job-seekers.
Hewett added: "Our ultimate goal is to replace all manual HR processes with electronic procedures to further improve efficiency. ASR’s technology will prove key to achieving this."
ASR, a COA Solutions company, also recommended the charity install PBS payroll software that integrated into the HR Pro System.
