New intranet for Children's Society

IT | Tania Mason | 1 Mar 2009

The Children’s Society is set to implement a Content Managed Intranet to improve internal communications and engage all staff.

The charity has teamed up with Unified Solutions to develop the intranet based on Percussion Rhythmyx 6.5 CMS. The pair previously worked together relaunching the charity’s website in 2007.

The custom-built intranet aims to improve employee communication by introducing threaded discussion forums, blogs and social notice boards which all staff across the UK will be able to access.

The system will circulate all company information through a secure portal, speeding up the communication process while reducing duplication costs and errors. A staff directory allowing employees to locate the correct person within the organisation will also be created.

Christian Aid and Cancer Research UK are also customers of Unified Solutions.
