NCVO has struck a deal to make IT supplier Academia a preferred supplier, entitling the umbrella body's members to discounts on Apple hardware and software.
All Apple products will be offered at specifically negotiated discounted prices which vary from product to product but which could see charities save over £100 on a £700 laptop.
Academia is partially funding the discounts by taking advantage of Apple’s education rate for schools and colleges, but is nevertheless offering the deals to all NCVO members.
Discounted products include:
Microsoft products have for many years been available to charities at a heavily discounted price through the Charity Technology Exchange, but the opportunities for discounts on Apple products have been more limited.
