Blackbaud has launched The Raiser’s Edge(i), a hosted solution which adds a range of online communications and donor relationship management tools to its flagship CRM system.
The product incorporates some of the functionality from the company's NetCommunity product, such as online donation and registration, email and SMS communications and targeted fundraising campaigns.
It also includes gift aid functionality.
The change has enabled Blackbaud to implement a flexible and scalable delivery and pricing model, a move which experts told Civil Society IT would help to tackle the problem of the company’s products not being price-competitive.
“Blackbaud recognises that the only real answer is to have one fully integrated solution,” said Martin Jervis (pictured), vice president and managing director of Blackbaud Europe.
“Fundraising and supporter relationship management has changed significantly in recent years with donors, fundraisers and stakeholders alike expecting to engage, be engaged with, share and feel like they are part of the organisation they choose to support.”
