Livestock charity opts for SunSystems 0

IT | Gareth Jones | 19 Jan 2010

International livestock charity GALVmed has chosen to implement the Infor FMS SunSystems financial accounting solution from reseller Sapphire.

Founded in 2005, the charity has until now been using its accountants, Scott-Moncrieff, to produce management information as it sought funding and grew its operations.

However, in September 2008 it secured substantial funding for work tackling four diseases, meaning it needed more detailed, timely and hands on information production processes and management reports that could be created as and when required.

SunSystems was chosen over two other solutions following a tender and product demonstration, and was delivered within a tight implementation deadline of just seven weeks from selection to 'go-live'.

Heather Stevenson, finance director at GALVmed, said: "We opted for SunSystems as it is a complex system with multi-currency, sophisticated project reporting and multi-site capability.

"The flexibility of SunSystems was also a key plus point: at this stage it is impossible for us to know how big GALVmed will become in the future, so it is important for us to have scalable systems in place."

Look out for the results of our third annual Charity Accounting Software Survey, which will be published online and in the February issue of Charity Finance.
