A new headquarters and hub for social enterprise support organisations has officially opened in London...
Google has its fingers in many pies but it appears it is not always easy to eat them all at the same time, as visitors attempting to access Shelter’s fun new Housebling website with Google’s Chrome browser will have found.
The site uses Google Street View technology to allow users to decorate their own houses with a variety of festive adornments (pictured).
But under the heading “awfully sorry”, the site tells Chrome users: “Currently, Shelter Housebling doesn't work on Google Chrome for Windows.
“Despite our best efforts we can't seem to get Housebling playing nice with Google Street View.
“We appreciate the irony. If you still want to use Housebling despite our epic fail, please use another browser such as Firefox or, at a push, Internet Explorer."
Credit goes to CharityComms board member Rob Dyson for pointing out the issue on his blog, and as he says, fair play to Shelter for having a sense of humour about it!
