The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) has launched a series of video tutorials to show users how to navigate its new website and encourage charities to sign up to its online services.
The service allowing charities to submit accounts online launched last autumn. Ahead of the launch OSCR identified those charities that wanted to submit online and issued them with log-in details and passwords. About 10,000 charities have so far used the service.
A spokesman told civilsociety.co.uk that: “We are really keen to show charities that it is not a complicated process and that it can make life easier.”
Charities can register their interest in filing their accounts online through a form on the main page of the OSCR website.
Hosted on Screenr, each video is between one and two minutes long. So far five tutorials have launched, with more due to be added over the next few months.
The topics covered so far are:
Last year the Charity Commission for England and Wales produced video tutorials showing charities how to file their online accounts on its website.
