Roger Chester

Roger Chester

Head of Finance and Administration, LionHeart

Roger has worked in the NFP sector since 1975. His first experience of a computer was when the local authority audit section did the conga through the computer room at a Christmas party.

He has been head of finance and administration at LionHeart since 2002. His first contact with Charity Finance was when he rigged its business card draw at the Charity Accountants Conference. Ever mindful of the state of the planet he thinks that the best computer was the abacus as it relied on a biological power supply rather than an electrical one.

In 2011 he became a special advisor to the Al-Mizan Charitable Trust. He is also the current chairman of the finance and legal group at the Association of Charity Officers and at the start of 2012 he was appointed as a trustee for the Charity Employees Benevolent Fund.
