Exciting news - Twitter is launching location-based trending topics.
The product is officially called Local Trends and is being rolled out to one per cent of users today.
Finally, American pop culture (see list below from Mashable) won’t dominate the right of my Twitter page and we can truly see what the UK is buzzing about.
I can’t wait to see which charity will break the UK trending list first and when Local Trends is divided into cities (it’s a limited list so far – only 15 U.S. cities are supported but this will surely develop) it’ll be an even greater tool for local charities to engage with supporters.
