Joyce Moseley will retire from Catch22 at the end of this year, after more than a decade in the role of chief executive.
Moseley, who grew the charity from a turnover of £5.5m when she joined in 1999 to a £50m-a-year organisation today, is stepping down to pursue other interests, which include sitting on the boards of a number of other organisations.
The Catch22 board is now looking for a replacement and has contracted Inzito Partners to help with recruitment.
Jim McKenna, chair of the board of trustees, paid tribute to Moseley who has also an OBE to her credit, was a founding member of the Youth Justice Board and oversaw the creation of Catch22 as a result of the merger of Crime Concern and Rainer a few years ago.
Paying tribute to Moseley’s contribution to the charity, McKenna said: “Joyce has led Catch22 brilliantly. She has played a major role in building the organisation and ensuring it is in the forefront of quality support for young people and communities.”
“Joyce has been a popular chief executive among young people, staff and public agencies. She has led the organisation with flair combined with a deep understanding of those young people who have often been let down by society.”
