The Leadership 20:20 Commission has launched a consultation on the future of leadership in civil society to shape its future policy on leadership and best practice in the sector.
It follows on from a series of ‘Curry Club’ consultations held last year around the country, which looked at the challenges and opportunities for leaders in civil society.
Findings included the problem of a lack of transparency in the sector and the opportunities to create more partnership and alliances.
The new consultation, which is available online, gives people the opportunity to feed into the Commission's findings on how the community and voluntary sector can support the leaders of the future.
Chair of the commission, Richard J. Doughty, said:
"This consultation will give the commission the tools it needs to really change the way people think about leadership within civil society. The challenges future leaders will face are challenges we all have an interest in, and this consultation gives everyone the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas."

More people who think they have the right to tell the voluntary sector how to organise itself. From the illustration, it appears that the sector should be run by young business professional in suits. The day that managerialism rears its ugly head in the community sector is the day that I quit.
