The Charity Commission is collaborating with the Ethical Property Foundation on a survey about charities’ property experiences.
Part of research commissioned by the Foundation to learn more about property issues affecting charities, the survey aims to identify solutions to the issues charities face in this area.
Jo Taylor, director of the Foundation, said: “As charities tighten their belts, cutting property costs and making money from property are becoming even more important. The Foundation is delighted to be working with the Charity Commission to ensure property is a boost, rather than a burden, for charities.”
The Ethical Property Foundation has been offering advice about property issues to charities and community groups since 2005. The group has helped more than 2,000 organisations rent, buy, let or manage property to date through its Property Advice Service.
Independent consultant Campbell Tickell has been commissioned by the Foundation to research charity property issues and their causes. The findings from this survey are to be supplemented by research interviews with figures in both the charity and property sectors, in order to give the Foundation material to identify and tackle charities’ common property difficulties.
Interested participants can fill in the property survey online on the Charity Commission’s website.

Hello
Trying to complete your questionnaire but it stalls at the page requiring numbers. It asks for numbers in the range 0-99, but the RNLI has hundreds.
and it will not accept the data with 3 numbers.field

Response to [Steve Wallington]
Hi Steve,
We are sorting out the number fields, so you should be able to complete the survey. Thank you for letting us know!
We are already getting a great response to the survey, which promises to offer a detailed insight into the property matters that are affected the sector.
