After 20 years as a head-hunter in the charity sector Olga Johnson set up a new organisation to provide a range of HR and career management services to senior people in the sector in 2011 (Olga Johnson Charity HR and Career Management).
She was a trustee of Sightsavers from 2001-2009 and a trustee of The Institute of Fundraising from 2003 – 2009 and is currently a trustee of HealthProm.

Larger charities operate in a tough, competitive environment and those that do not have trustees with business acumen will struggle as the sector becomes more commercially astute, funds are more difficult to secure and more charities turn towards income generating commercial ventures
In January 2005, David Bedford stepped down after five years as the chair of YCare International. The board decided to recruit a new chair who could build on David Bedford's achievements and work closely with Chris Roles to take the charity forward to the next stage of its development.
