Community isn't led by government, so why wait for it to tell you what to do, protests Robert Ashton....
Peter Gotham is a partner at accountants Gotham Erskine, having formed Gotham & Co. in 1981 to develop the services which he had been providing to small organisations on a voluntary basis, for over ten years. In addition to work with ongoing clients, he undertakes consultancy assignments for civil society organisations, statutory bodies and local authorities. He lectures and writes on finance for the non-professional, on charity accounting, and on solvency management. He continues to be active as a trustee, and honorary advisor to a number of charities.
