Online sponsorship platforms, like JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving and MyDonate, have proliferated over the years. But which ones are performing best for charities?
Fundraising magazine has published a feature looking at the rise of the online sponsorship platform and what is coming up in the future.
We're looking now for charities to have their say about what they want out of their platform, and which service is delivering it.
Please take just a few minutes to fill in our survey.

It will be great to see some hard facts around this topic - well done for posting the survey.
But I think we're missing a couple of key questions (which may have been implied but aren't specifically included):
- How important is it that the online fundraising tool enables charities to tell their stories and introduce their cause flexibly and powerfully to users
- How important is it to enable charities to capture enough information (in line with telling better stories above) to support further activity which would enable them to convert one-off donations into longer term income
I have a suspicion that transactional sites offer a simple and robust donation process but that they don't go far enough in enabling charities to build a deeper relationship with donors. Own-site solutions (like the Everyday Hero example you list) may be more involved to set up but appear to have more potential in this regard.
I'll be very interested in seeing the results!

Could we have some comparative information on BT, Virgin etc like how much has been raised per annum and what are the charges to fund raisers?
There are other platforms for example LocalGiving.Com which, in its first year, has raised over £1 million on line for small, local groups and charities [I declare an interest: LGC, founded by dot.com millionaire philanthropist Marcelle Speller, is part owned by the Community Foundation Network (56 members; £230 million in endowment).]
