Joint MDs appointed to Home and Gift Fundraising

Fundraising | Tania Mason | 2 Sep 2011

A restructure at the group which owns Home and Gift Fundraising has seen a new company registered that will provide support services to both organisations, as well as joint managing directors appointed to lead them both.

Dominic Will and Neil Hope, previously joint managing directors of door-to-door agency Home Fundraising, will now hold the same posts at sister street fundraising outfit Gift Fundraising, in the wake of incumbent Milly Ahmed’s departure from Gift a few months ago.

Home Fundraising and Gift Fundraising share the same parent company, Gift Group, but now a new management company has been created to support the operations of both Home and Gift. Home and Gift Fundraising Holdings will provide services such as human resources, data, communications, standards and quality control to the two agencies, potentially providing efficiency savings by eliminating duplication.

Dominic Will told civilsociety.co.uk the management company would also explore other ventures within the sector “linked to all the experience we have within face-to-face”.

He stressed that the restructure was not a takeover of one agency by the other, nor was it a merger.  “We want to retain both brand identities because they are both very strong market-leading brands in their own right.  Their operations need to remain distinct because street and door-to-door fundraising are quite different activities and our client-serving teams need to stay focused on their particular speciality.”

No jobs will be lost in the restructure, Will added, which has now taken effect.

Home and Gift boast clients including Macmillan Cancer Support, NSPCC, Oxfam, Cancer Research UK and Save the Children.
