Not just an atheist bus.... 1

Fundraising | 26 Feb 2009

The atheists have had a go, and the believers have got their own back. But now, thanks to the caring, sharing nature of the internet, anyone can try their hand at creating a campaign slogan on the side of a bus.

Most readers will be familiar with the tale of the atheists who wanted to raise some money to stick a poster on the side of a few buses proclaiming: ‘There’s probably no god. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.’ They raised way more than they’d expected and wre able to adorn hundreds of buses, and some tube stations too.

Then the faithful decided to respond in kind, and three different Christian groups booked their own bus campaigns, with slogans ranging from the pedantic (‘There is God. Believe. Don’t worry and enjoy life’) to the doctrinaire (‘The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God’).

So there it was, tit for tat, and you might think that would be the end of it. But no. Instead, some bright spark decided to set up a website where anyone can have a go at creating their very own atheist/religious/agnostic/none of the above (delete as applicable) bus campaign.

Here's one of our efforts, above. Whaddaya reckon?
