Smaller charities are being offered a chance to apply for a £1,000 grant and a six-month project management secondee.
Management training company Really Responsible is offering charities with a turn over of less than £3m per annum the chance to win a cash donation and part-time managerial volunteer on a first come, first served basis.
The company will match private sector volunteers with appropriate charities, and provide mentoring support to the volunteer and further advice to the charity, throughout 2011.
Helen Morris-Brown, founder of Really Responsible, said she has had experience of the value of secondment programmes while a development director at a charity, and now wants other charities to be able to access the same skill set.
Applications can now be made via www.reallyresponsible.com

The reality of many projects is that 70% is spent as admin cost & 30% goes directly to the beneficiaries living in poverty or disabled etc. The admin costs are based on foreign trips, workshops, documentation work, staff wages etc.
