Charities working with people with learning disabilities and mental health problems caught up in the criminal justice system now have another avenue of funding available.
The Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales has today announced the launch of a new funding stream to charities working in the field. The creation of the grant scheme is prompted by the Lord Bradley review of the status of people with learning and mental health problems in the criminal justice system.
The foundation has put a call out for funding applications by charities already working in the system for “innovative” and “boundary-pushing” programmes, the rolling-out of tried and tested programmes and schemes which aim to improve cooperation with statutory bodies.
Grants values are not fixed, and the Foundation will respond to requests for funding of all sizes. The deadline for expressions of interest is Wednesday, 3 November 2010.
