Independent Age is to restructure its fundraising and communications teams following an organisationwide strategic review, which has resulted in the development of new services.
The teams are to be reorganised in a way that will allow the charity to generate the extra income needed to deliver these services. This includes employing nine new members of staff.
“We need to develop more capacity to fundraise for projects and we are to invest in recruiting new donors,” said Simon Bottery, director of fundraising and communications.
“Research into our current donor base will also be a priority as we need to understand who gives to us and why.”
