The National Trust has launched a £1.8m appeal to save a stretch of North West Welsh coastline.
The charity will be appealing to existing members and donors of its Neptune Coastline Campaign to donate to buy a section of coast on the Llyn Peninsula. Donors will be asked to raise only half of the cost of buying the land as Visit Wales has pledged to stump up the other half, if National Trust donors manage to raise the £1.8m target.
The campaign, developed by TDA, will play on donors perceived wish to preserve the local ecology and protect the traditional character of the coastline, as well as appeal to supporters who may want to visit the area in the future.
National Trust is hoping for an average donation of £28 from its supporters.
The Neptune Coastline Campaign has been going for 45 years.
