Oxfam has launched its own appeal for the Pakistani flood relief effort, following a day after Concern Worldwide and the British Red Cross did the same.
Oxfam is appealing for public donations of £4m which it says it will direct to the Swat Valley, which was last year devastated by conflict. The charity hopes to reach 400,000 people with the aid.
The charity says that it is already on the ground, but will invest in long-term recovery in the affected region also.
