A Cancer Research UK charity shop has come up with a novel way of attracting attention to its window display.
Earlier this month it experimented for a day with a live mannequin, a role taken by 21-year-old Natalie Cox.
The shop employee spent the day literally in the shop window, beckoning customers inside and demonstrating some of the products on offer.
Cox said: “It’s certainly not a normal day at work for me but I think it will be worthwhile.”
Shop manager Jackie Eeels, added: “We do this type of thing every couple of months to try and boost sales.
“You have to try and do something a bit different and we thought this would draw people’s attention as they were walking by.”

Good for them for trying it out. Given the nation's impending job losses, maybe there will be enough volunteers to do this in every charity shop in the UK.
