ASI acquires Fisk Brett ahead of aggressive charity sector push

Fundraising | Gareth Jones | 18 Jun 2008

CRM and fundraising software provider Fisk Brett has been bought by membership experts Advanced Solutions International (ASI), creating the UK’s largest technology provider to the not-for-profit sector.

The combined entity, which will be known as ASI, will have more than 3,000 fundraising and membership customers, and 210 employees in seven offices worldwide.

The move comes as ASI, which produces the iMIS business software product, announces its intention to “aggressively target the charitable sector in the UK”.

ASI says it chose Fisk Brett for its “software, its people and its substantial client base”.

“By combining ASI’s membership heritage with Fisk Brett’s charity fundraising domain expertise, we are putting the foundations in place to become the UK’s leading not-for-profit technology expert and provider,” said Niroo Rad, managing director of ASI Europe.

Robin Fisk (pictured), a co-founder of Fisk Brett who will take responsibility for business development, explained: “Together, we have more resources to develop, support and service our products, which means we have an exciting opportunity to build on the many trust-based customer relationships that we have established in the last 18 years.”

Ben Brett, who set the company up with Fisk in 1990, will take a role in product development.

“Software development is an expensive business and R&D costs have risen exponentially for all software companies in recent years,” said Brett.

“By combining our domain expertise with ASI’s development resources, we safeguard our customers’ technology investments, ensuring access to world-class technologies at an affordable price, today and in the future.”
