The first ever benchmarking survey for face-to-face (F2F) attrition has been launched through the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association. The PFRA Attrition Survey 2008 will ask how long F2F recruits have kept on giving after they were recruited, and what techniques charities are using to combat attrition. Rupert Tappin, managing director of F2F agency Future Fundraising who helped develop the survey, said without benchmarked data “it is very hard for charities to identify trends in their regular giving programmes year-on-year, and makes it almost impossible to assess the impact of trialling new ideas and techniques.” The deadline for submission to the survey is 23 May and the results will be announced at the Institute of Fundraising National Convention in July.
