Remember a Charity has appointed a new campaign director as the legacy promotion organisation looks to move on from awareness-raising to changing behaviour around legacies.
Rob Cope, formerly the director of marketing and communications at the Prince’s Trust, will join Stephen George, chair of Remember a Charity which sits within the Institute of Fundraising.
An Institute of Fundraising spokeswoman told CivilSociety that there may be changes ahead for Remember a Charity and that the organisation will also bring in a partnerships manager, tasked with building relationships with institutions such as banks and financial bodies.
Cope described his new posting as an “exciting and unique opportunity”.
Lindsay Boswell, chief executive of the Institute, said that the group is moving on from its initial phase of awareness-raising and is moving on to focus on behavioural change.
“This is a crucial time for charities’ fundraising and legacies remain critically important as a source of income,” said Boswell. “We are really looking forward to having [Cope’s] management and communication skills on board to help drive Remember a Charity forward.”
