The NCVO’s new Funding Central website has unveiled two new zones – one for those organisations seeking like-minded partners to jointly bid for a grant or contract, and one for providers of funding.
The Partners Zone allows visitors to create an online profile and search for organisations who have already expressed an interest in finding partners, or describe their own activities and experiences of applying for funding. They can make this information public in order that others may find them through a search.
The Funder Zone is a password-protected area of the site that features a range of tools to give grantmakers, commissioners and lenders insight into what recipients of their money are saying about their funds. Funders can add new sources of funds as well as tips to help applications become more successful at applying.
The Funder Zone also contains an ‘analytical dashboard’ where funders can see how many users have viewed details of their funds and tenders, allowing them to see how popular particular funding streams are and tailor future programems accordingly.
www.fundingcentral.org.uk, which lists more than 4,000 funding and financing opportunities for the sector, has accrued nearly 9,000 registered users since its launch in June.
