WaterAid has unveiled an ambitious six year strategy, in which it says it plans to reach an annual turnover of £100m by 2015.
The charity, which in 2007/08 had an annual income of £40m, will use the money to fulfil its pledges of providing a further 25 million poor people with safe water and hygiene and reaching a further 100 million by influencing the policies and practices of government and service providers.
It also aims to extend its reach by working in 13 new developing countries, and says that by 2010 it will have established an international board and secretariat to govern its work globally.
Initially this will be supported by offices in America, Australia, Sweden and the UK but, during the course of the strategy, it will actively encourage more members to the board and secretariat.
The strategy was developed via an 18-month consultation process with a range of stakeholders.
WaterAid will now develop country, regional and global operational plans for international programme work, influencing, communications and fundraising in order to deliver the strategy.

You are doing a great job by providing water to those who are lacking it.It is true that water is the life and without it no life.I wonder if you could extend your service to some parts in Africa that people are suffreing from drought and started dying due to lack of water.I would suggest to include Somaliland within the areas of your work.As it is not a recognised country and cannot receive much international aid.
