Charities queue up for Ryanair partnership

Fundraising | 23 Sep 2009

Ryanair’s famous Cabin Crew Charity Calendar has already received double the amount of applications from charities that the 2009 edition did.

A calendar partnership with Michael O’Leary’s budget airline could net the successful charity proceeds of at least €100,000. Last year 10,000 copies of the  Dublin Simon Community calendar were sold, this year Ryanair hopes to exceed this figure.

More than 200 charities have already applied with two days to go.

Applicant charities must specify how they would spend the €100,000 and are asked for suggestions on how the 2010 Cabin Crew Charity Calendar can be improved.

Applications close Friday 25th September. Charities can email their applications to ryanaircharitycalendar@ryanair.com.

PF Calendar Competition gets under way

Meanwhile, calendars have begun pouring in to PF Towers for our inaugural Calendar Competition.  Animals are featuring heavily so far, with entries from the Donkey Sanctuary, Bulldog Rescue and SPANA, along with non-animal offerings from Mencap and Catch 22.

The calendars will be judged by four criteria:  originality, design, theme and link to the cause. Please send your entries, by 9 November, to Professional Fundraising Calendar Competition, 15 Prescott Place, London SW4 6BS or electronically to calendar@professionalfundraising.co.uk.  The winner will be crowned PF Charity Calendar of the Year 2010.

And if your charity doesn’t already have a calendar but would like one to use for fundraising, PF and Picture Giving are giving you the chance to have one created, with 500 copies, for free.  Simply send us your images and the best will win 500 free calendars delivered to your door by the end of November.
