Collaboration a must for new grants programme

The Vodafone UK Foundation has launched a new funding programme that is only available to charities that apply in collaboration.

Reach will provide £5m of funding over three years, but organisations will only be eligible if they apply in pairs or wider groups. The programme is open to projects focusing on 16 and 25-years-olds who are on the margins of society, struggling with emotional wellbeing or at a crossroads in their lives.

Sarah Shilito, head of the Vodafone UK Foundation, said: "We appreciate charities are in constant competition for funding, and often much more besides. Yet we have had a hugely positive experience in our last, bilateral partnerships with Samaritans, Shelter and YouthNet. We have set up Reach with the belief that more can be achieved in collaboration."
