Bacs, the payment system for direct debit, has launched an online Bacs Academy offering a range of training modules to help understand direct debit. Starting with the "Great Balloon Race", a free interactive quiz that staff can use to test their knowledge of direct debit, Bacs is offering two further e-learning courses on direct debit essentials and paperless direct debit.
Latest figures from UK Giving 2005/06 by CAF and NCVO found 22 per cent of donations came via direct debit in the last financial year, more than any other means. Go to www.bacslearning.com for more.
