The Weather Lottery has confirmed that it is interested in speaking to Chariot about the possibility of acquiring its database.
The future of Chariot, the organisation behind the struggling charities lottery Monday, has been in doubt for some time now after ticket sales took a major tumble. In October, its board announced that sales were below the level required to break even and that it was investigating all the options available to it "ranging from a possible fundraising to the appointment, by the Company, of an adminstrator".
The Weather Lottery, which provides a lottery-style game based on temperatures of various destinations around the world, told PF that it would consider obtaining Chariot's database of players.
"We are always interested in databases", said its chief executive Keith Milhench. "We will certainly be in future discussion with Chariot."
Chariot's board has confirmed it is in discussion with various parties but that all conversations are at preliminary stages. "There can be no certainty that any of the proposals received will be concluded or will lead to an offer for the Company's issued and to be issued share capital," it said in a statement.
At the time of going to press, shares in Chariot were worth 0.425p
