Everyclick has received an investment boost to fund expansion of new fundraising services.
The Aspire Fund has invested £350,000 in the website. With this new funding, Everyclick revealed it will launch new fundraising mechanisms - which will enable people to give to charity without making a direct donation - before the end of the year.
Everylick chief executive Polly Gowers told Professional Fundraising that the company will be focusing on facilities such as those which allow people to support charities vicariously via their shopping or web searches.
“In the current economic climate, the ability to enable people to give in the course of their everyday lives - without having to put their hands in the pocket – is really important,” Gowers said.
While Everyclick was the subject of financial crisis rumours earlier this year, a spokesman for the Aspire Fund told PF that “the money will go to boosting the company’s expansion, not core costs”.
The Aspire Fund was established in November last year to invest in enterprise led by women. The investment in Everyclick is the fund’s first investment.
