Director of fundraising, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) from April 2013

Paul Farthing has been director of fundraising at NSPCC since April 2013.

He was previously director of fundraising at Age UK.

He is also former legacy fundraising and corporate partnerships director at Cancer Research UK. Prior to joining CRUK in October 2005, he spent six years at charity specialist direct marketing agency, Target Direct, where he was made managing director. He is a trustee of Volunteer Reading Help.

NSPCC rebrands and moves on from the Full Stop campaign

The NSPCC’s groundbreaking Full Stop campaign raised more than any other in UK fundraising history. When it drew to a close in 2009 it had met its £250m target and become a textbook example of great fundraising. But the charity’s income has since fallen by more than £25m. Paul Farthing reveals how the NSPCC is moving on from past glories with a rebrand and a reinvigorated fundraising strategy.
