Fundraising is not always about big teams and long-term strategies, sometimes it’s just wacky individuals with an idea. Kirsty Weakley takes a look at one such video diary.
Ever felt like you might have actually packed the kitchen sink when you feel the weight of your travel bag? Well this man is literally lugging a washing machine on his back in an attempt to raise money for charity.
George Antsey will hike 12 miles across the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire with a washing machine weighing 82kg strapped to his back to raise money Cardiac Risk in the Young and a small cultural relations charity, EIL UK, on 20 October.

His JustGiving page has so far raised £1,035 with a target of £1,500.
Personally I can think of better uses for a washing machine, and hope he has another one at home to wash his walking gear in after he has completed the trek, but it's this kind of imaginative, dedicated fundraising that small charities often rely on, so good luck to him.
