More than money: how business and charities can make the most of their partnership

First Direct has helped the NSPCC by taking on its in-bound donation calls outside of office-hours, with IT secondments. Content with their partnership, the business and charity are hosting a live webcast to discuss how business/charity partnerships can be of benefit, something that Volunteering England chief executive Justin Davis Smith recently stated was the way forward for the sector in what he called "the era of co-production".

You can view the webcast on Civil Society by clicking on the video screen below on or after the broadcast date. Submit your questions in advance using the form below.

"In tough economic times, business support for the charity sector is vital - but the best partnerships go further than just giving cash.

"Knowledge-exchange, secondments and capacity-sharing are all ways to create not just valuable and valued support for partner charities - they can also have wide-ranging benefits for business, in terms of employee engagement, development and experience.

"To find out more, join us for this live webcast with Michaela Wright, head of corporate and social leadership, first direct; Neil Berkett, chief executive, Virgin Media and Paul Amadi, director of fundraising, NSPCC. Drawing on first direct’s successful partnership with NSPCC they’ll be discussing how business and charities can benefit from close collaboration as well as providing plenty of helpful suggestions to consider.

"Whether you work in the third sector, are involved in your business’ charitable initiatives, or just have your own favourite charity close to your heart – this is your chance to get ideas, inspiration and have your own questions answered too.

"If you have a question you would like to ask our panel, either in advance or as the live event progresses, you can submit it now via the box below – and be sure to join us when we go live at 12.30pm on Monday 14 June."
