Charities in Twitter storm over balloon releases
24 May 2012
Charities are being urged to abandon balloon releases in a Twitter a campaign.
WRVS has appointed Darren Xiberras as its new director of corporate services, heading up the charity's finance function.
Xiberras (pictured) has a background in the support services sector. Since 2006 he has been involved in the domiciliary care sector, specifically dealing with the provision of services designed to help older and disabled people to live independently in their own home.
Lynne Berry, WRVS chief executive said: “We have reviewed the underlying viability of WRVS's financial model and it will be tremendous to have someone with Darren's experience of the management of resources and of commissioning to be working with us at this stage of our development.”
