Charities in Twitter storm over balloon releases

Charities are being urged to abandon balloon releases in a Twitter a campaign.
International equine welfare charity, the Brooke, has appointed Petra Ingram as its new chief executive.
Ingram(pictured), who has been promoted from her director of resources role at the charity, replaces Mike Baker who spent eight years at the charity.
Under Baker’s leadership Brooke quadrupled its income from £3m in 2001 to almost £12m today. The charity also now employs over 850 people worldwide.
