UK venture philanthropy firm, Impetus Trust has hired former Goldman Sachs executive director Meredith Niles as an investment manager.
In her new role, Niles (pictured) will research and assess potential investee charities and assist existing portfolio charities in scaling up effectively.
Niles was with Goldman Sachs for seven years, working in the investment banking division. She has also held a number of voluntary roles with the Junior League of London, a charity for women volunteers.
Daniela Barone Soares, chief executive of Impetus, said: "The addition of someone with Meredith's skills will enable us to find and partner with even more groundbreaking charities fighting poverty. This is particularly relevant now as Impetus embarks on an ambitious growth phase, doubling our portfolio size."
Impetus has 11 charities in its portfolio, including Camfed International, Leap Confronting Conflict and the St Giles Trust.
