Charities in Twitter storm over balloon releases
24 May 2012
Charities are being urged to abandon balloon releases in a Twitter a campaign.
Gill Nunn, CAF’s director of innovation, is to join Futurebuilders England (FBE) in October as director of market development.
In her new role she will have responsibility for marketing the fund to potential investees and generating high quality applications, as well as Futurebuilders’ communications strategy and its website.
It is FBE’s first major external appointment since the Adventure Capital Fund took over the Futurebuilders contract in April.
Nunn joined CAF in 2006 after an 18-year career leading major organisational change at HBOS, and led the charity-focused sales and marketing for CAF’s award winning financial services.
Speaking to Charity News Alert, Nunn said: “I am really looking forward to moving on and combining my sector knowledge and contacts gained from my time here at CAF with my banking experience.
“Developing Futurebuilders continues to be a real opportunity for the sector and I aim to work with Jonathan Lewis and the FBE team to ensure all those who would benefit from our activities know about us and use us to their advantage.
“I aim to work collaboratively with all the sector bodies I currently have relationships with, and many others, to extend the reach of FBE and continue our success.”
Jonathan Lewis, FBE chief executive, said: “She has exactly the skills and experience we were looking for when we drew up the specification for this vitally important new post.
“We’re delighted to have found someone who combines a real understanding of the third sector’s needs with solid experience of high finance and banking.”
Nunn is also a trustee for Centrepoint and the Charity Finance Directors’ Group.
