Financial software provider CODA has announced that CODA 2go, the software as a service (SaaS) accounting solution it launched in May through Salesforce’s Force.com platform, is to be made available for free to registered UK charities.
The move represents the first time a ‘higher end’ package will be accessible to smaller charities, many of whom require a greater level of functionality than that provided by the more affordable offerings.
Qualifying charities will be able to apply for four free licenses, with further licenses available at “drastically reduced rates” compared to the standard charge of $125 per user per month.
At present, only the ‘Opportunity to Cash’ functionality is available, which enables users to create invoices and post the transaction to their sales ledger, but general ledger accounting, purchase to pay and sales order processing functionality will be delivered over the coming months.
CODA chief executive Jeremy Roche (pictured) revealed the news on stage at Dreamforce Europe, Salesforce’s European User and Developer Conference last month.
CODA 2go is fully integrated with Salesforce’s CRM application, and is the first SaaS finance application to offer such a level of functionality.
