Charities in Twitter storm over balloon releases
24 May 2012
Charities are being urged to abandon balloon releases in a Twitter a campaign.
The first multi-charity interactive TV ad has been launched by Remember A Charity – a consortium of over 140 charities working to increase income from legacy giving.
The ‘I will. Will you?’ campaign, fronted by Michael Buerk, will enable viewers to click on the red button to request more information. Jonathan Parris, director of Remember A Charity, said: "This innovative campaign is an exciting new opportunity to raise legacy awareness even further. Charitable legacies raise over £1.3 billion each year, and yet only 6 per cent of the adult population currently include a charity in their will."
