Social Enterprise Mark launches its first campaign

The Social Enterprise Mark Company has launched its first national campaign, '50 in 250', which is aiming to secure a pledge from 50 companies to do business with at least five social enterprises holding the Mark within 250 days.

The Social Enterprise Mark Company, which became an independent community interest company a fortnight ago after losing its two shareholders, launched the campaign this week at the City of London Corporation.

Chair of the Social Enterprise Mark and managing director at Age UK Enterprises Gordon Morris said: “50 in 250 will deliver a step change in the social enterprise sector by encouraging, and supporting, large businesses to integrate social enterprises into their supply chain.”

He told civilsociety.co.uk that the Mark would publish updates on the progress of the campaign over the coming months.
