Natwest launches £2.8m grant fund to help local charities attract volunteers 5

Finance | Vibeka Mair | 1 Aug 2011

Natwest has launched CommunityForce, a £2.8m grant fund to help local charities raise the publicity of their work and attract volunteers.

158 CommunityForce areas have been set up, and each will be offering three local projects the chance to win an award of £6,000 each.

An online public vote on Natwest's website will decide which three organisations should receive the awards.

Organisations and charities can apply for a CommunityForce award here between 25th July and 4th September 2011.

Keyhouse works with people who have experienced homelessness and who have been excluded from soceity due to various problems mainly stemming from addictions to drugs and alcohol.

We run a 6 plot allotment project which relies on volunteers to keep it running and producing food which is then distrubuted to our hostel and to other clients that we work with.

Keyhouse would like to apply for a community force award.
