Finance director, Friends of the Elderly
Rui Domingues is the finance director at Friends of the Elderly.
He spent a number of years training in the commercial sector before pursuing a career in the not-for-profit sector. His business experience was gained working with an international event merchandising company and a large multinational waste management company. Prior to starting work with Friends of the Elderly in 2010, he was an interim finance director within the housing sector.
He is a member of CFDG’s Technical Accounting Forum and a trustee of his local Baptist church.
He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in urban (civil) engineering, he started training to become an accountant during the recession in the 1990s.
