Rohan Hewavisenti has been director of finance and business development at the British Red Cross since March 2008 but has worked in the non-profit sector for over 13 years.
He has extensive non-profit finance experience in the UK and globally. He was director of finance and resources at Breast Cancer Care for five years before joining the Red Cross but has also worked for ActionAid and VSO in China. Prior to that he lived and worked in France, Italy, the USA and Israel.
Hewavisenti also holds a number of non-executive roles. He joined the CDFG in 2006 and is on the management committee of the Charity Tax Group. He is treasurer for the charity Learning for Life and recently joined the board of East Living, a support provider for people with special needs living in East London.
