New regulations which will affect all Scottish charity websites have been tabled in the Scottish Parliament...
Nick Ivey joined Bates Wells & Braithwaite in 1997 as partner and joint head of property development. He specialises in estate and property portfolio acquisition and management, and has written several articles for Charity Finance.
Having been admitted as a solicitor in 1981, Ivey became a partner at Speechly Bircham before moving on to Bates Wells & Braithwaite.

Nick Ivey and Sarah Macleod assess the likely impact of the final version of the CIL. The planning act 2008 introduces a new tax called the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). This tax will be levied on the development of land and buildings and will hit both organisations intending to develop land or buildings for profit and those wishing to make improvements or alterations to property they already own, and will retain.
