Stephen Pidgeon is a trustee of the Institute of Fundraising, a consultant and visiting professor of direct response fundraising at the University of Plymouth.
In over 25 years of agency life, Pidgeon has worked with nearly 200 national charities in the UK and overseas. He began his career in marketing at Observer Offers and set up the fundraising unit at Brann. In 1993 he founded Target Direct, which later became Tangible Response.
In the summer of 2009 Pidgeon set up a new European training consultancy with Professor Adrian Sargeant of Indiana University. The pair will travel Europe teaching the Institute of Fundraising’s Certificate in Excellence to fundraisers.
In January 2014 Stephen was appointed to the board of trustees at international development charity VSO. He has been involved in the charity for more than 40 years.
