The National Citizen Service pilot has been hailed a success by the government, with an estimated £1 to £2 social return for every £1 invested, according to an independent report published today.

The Big Lottery Fund and the Office for Civil Society have surveyed civil society organisations about their use of online services to find out how the services help the sector build learning, and develop skills and capabilities. 

Twelve organisations including New Philanthropy Capital, NCVO and Acevo, have come together to create the ‘inspiring impact’ group, which plans to provide collective leadership in the charity sector on impact measurement over the next decade.
