Tearfund is a Christian relief and development agency building a global network of churches to help eradicate poverty. The majority of its funding comes from donations; these donations are used by local churches to develop communities abroad.

The Tearfund not only works through its churches, it also works with developmental organisations and partners with European, British and North American government agencies.
Individuals are encouraged to give their time - volunteers are working within their home countries and are also requesting placement in overseas locations.
